God Has His Own Seasons

How many of us feel that sometimes prayers take a long time to be answered and the promised future is far from sight? It's not a surprise that a lot of us choose to give up and/or start doing things on our own.
Let me remind you that every dream comes from the dream giver. And when we bring it up to HIM, he treasures it and sanctifies it. He doesn't show us how and when He will make it happen but HE will. Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying everything you tell GOD will happen. That mindset is the exact opposite of His Lordship. What I am referring to are those desires that are aligned to HIS will, plan and those that will not lead you away from HIM.

According to the Bible in Ecclesiastes 3:1:

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

God has his own timetable. Nothing is rushed and nothing is too late.

We must recognize our season and what He's trying to teach us and to be kept assured that He will eventually display HIS wonder before our very eyes.

IS it easy? My point of view - no. Everyone wants things fast. But that's what must set us apart. We are not in a hurry. We should be on time by faith and not by sight.

SO no matter what you're going through, take heart. GOD Knows His Seasons and He has a season for you.

Blessed Is The Man Who Fears The Lord

Praise the Lord!

Monday was an amazing day for me and the Lord! It was a day I communed with him and sought him with all my heart. Just Him and me and His word. Indeed it's indescribable! My prayer is for you to also stop and pause for a day in your week, instead of being caught up with the roller coaster of needs and priorities. To pause and seek God for fellowship and "just" enjoying His presence. Yes, above asking for anything, let's all seek his Heart and His presence first and foremost.

What I did pray about? I'll share it on another post. Watch out for that!

On this post though, I would like to praise the Lord for the WORD (promises) He had given during that fellowship. Truly, God speaks! Actually, I think He had been speaking to me several times now. I think He had been talking to you now. I was just too busy to listen. This is because only when we're still and silent in His presence do we hear His small still voice. [One thing you can think and reflect about... ]

He guided me to Psalm 112. A Psalm entitled "The Blessed State of the Righteous". I'm not sure if I've read this Psalm before. Probably once or twice but during this time the WORD was just too powerful that I was moved to tears and praises to my God and personal Lord.

Psalm 112
The Blessed State of the Righteous

1 Praise the LORD!

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.

4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

8 His heart is established;
He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

9 He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted with honor.

10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.

Amen!

A lot of promises, I know and I praise the Lord for all those. But as I've always said Promises will remain futile unless one does something about them. Unless I do something about them!

Do I even fear the Lord everytime I make a choice or a decision or on the way I live my life? Am I even the man this Psalm is talking about? Honestly, I am not.

But why can I still declare these promises for myself?

Because after all at the very start I was already unworthy of the promises and only God in His will can make all these things to happen. Because after all IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD. I trust HIM and believe in HIM that He can work through me and make me the "RIGHTEOUS MAN".

I may not be the man as of now but I WILL BE THE MAN soon through Jesus Christ!

That's the beauty of the Lord! He doesn't leave you or forsake you to just live your life on your own. He'll work through you and help you to make all His good plans for your lives to happen.

God bless you! Take time to speak with the Lord today, k?

God's Timing is Everything

Background: At work, an email came informing all Team Leads that there will be a Coach Swap this coming October. It means a Coach (which we call Team Lead in the Call Center) will be sent to the US (specifically to Reno, Nevada) to handle a team for one of the clients and in turn a coach from the client will work here in the Philippines. This is amazing and a great opportunity for me as all expenses will be shouldered by the company and the whole "swapping" thing will last for 6 weeks and it will be the first time for me to travel to the US. Just last week, it has been formally announced that it's my friend aL who have been chosen to go. Funny but he's called the "chosen one". ( don't know with my managers) lol!

What has this taught me?

Before that though, please know that I have prayed for this. I have asked my Pastor and the intercessory ministry, the whole church and my family to pray for it. I had an expectant heart. I had been declaring and claiming all the promises of the Lord for me as HIS child and apple of His eye. But still I wasn't chosen.

A lot of times, our prayers in the Lord aren't answered the way we want it to. This is so like the story of David. When Nathan had rebuked him for his sin against Uriah and Nathan prophesied:

Nathan replied, "The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the LORD show utter contempt, the son born to you will die." [2 Sam. 12:13-14]

And then the story continued...

15 After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill. 16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground. 17 The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them. [2 Sam. 12:15-17]

And we all know the son still died.

Back to the question, "What has this situation taught me?"

God's Timing is Everything

- Here's what I am believing: I will still be sent to the US but not now. Maybe I will not be sent at all. It doesn't matter: I WILL STILL Trust in GOD. It maybe the greatest opportunity out there but GOD doesn't follow man's timelines, He has HIS own seasons and plans and there's no way we can dictate Him. Whether HE chose to send me or not, HE remains to be GOD. Nothing can change that fact and I WILL STILL WORSHIP HIM.

In the Bible, there are two GREEK WORDs that refer to TIME: "chronos" and "kairos". Chronos is the time that you expect to really happen (e.g. Summer or Payday on the 15th and 30th, I believe is not the Kairos time for me. And I trust in GOD even more.

Here's what David did after he learned of his son's death:
20 Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.[2 Sam. 12:20]

Now that's what I'm talking about. That's a clear show and demonstration of TRUST on God's Timing and "ALL-Knowing" nature. I trust HIM that God knows what he's doing.

How many times do we get disappointed with every prayer unanswered?

How many times did we get hurt when things weren't going the way we have "fervently" praying for?

Let's check again. Let's have the same TRUST and FAITH David had. Let's trust and believe that God's Timing "KAIROS" is all that matters. and Yes, He was neither too early nor late but just on time all the time!

Praise the Lord!

Why the hurry? Running after Time?

There is time for everything. Why the Hurry?

Ecclesiastes 3 (King James Version)

Ecclesiastes 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

10I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

13And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

18I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

22Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Let's all be stewards of our time. Let's not allow it to control us but for us to use it for the glory of the Lord.

Time is God's gift to us. Let's use it wisely.

God Bless you!
