The Perfect Fan | Backstreet Boys VIDEO

The Perfect Fan | Backstreet Boys LYRICS

It takes a lot to know what is love
It's not the big thing but the little things
That can mean enough
A lot of players to get me through
There is never a day that passes by
I don't think of you
You were always there for me
Pushing me and guiding me
Always to succeed

Googling Mikes

Google knows my name!
(finally after a year of blogging)

I think that's sweet. :)

***just sharing***

My Fruit Salad!

It was my older sister's Birthday.

As a surprise, I decided to make (or mix) a fruit salad for her. This is already an effort as i don't usually cook (I mean this is not cooking, right?) or prepare things in the kitchen. I'm more part of the Eating Department. Lol!

Anyhow so I did it all by myself!

Here are the ingredients:

1 Today's fruit mix
2 Condensed milk
2 Nestle Cream
1 pack of raisin
1 Bar of Eden Cheese

How to do it? (this is for the very few people in the world who don't know how)

JUST MIX ALL of THEM!

and then serve COLD.

That wasn't hard, right? Now try it!

Happy Birthday my beloved Sister!

What I learned from Phineas and Ferb

I'm at home for a week long vacation to celebrate my mom's and sister's birthdays. Yey! On this same week as well, i'm not sure if this is a coincidence but my niece's yaya went home due to chicken pox making me the immediate (easy) replacement (the yayo). I got all smiles from my sister and brother in law. It's also ok with me though as I miss Yafit (name of my niece) so much.

Aside from sleeping, drinking milk and playing, most of our time is spent in front of the TV, specifically Playhouse Disney or eight-nine as my niece would call it (89 is the channel number)! I even answer Mickey Mouse's questions on which color is the ball he's holding and how many sheep do we see in the farm. Hotdog! Out of the many cartoon series though, there is one that I particularly like: Phineas and Ferb!

Phineas and Ferb is a story about two brothers who are on their summer vacation. Each day they create new things, discover new things and invent things everyone thought impossible. They have a pet, Platypus who is a secret agent named "agent P" whose only task is to stop everything Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz does. Conveniently the evil plan of Dr. Doofenshmirtz intertwine with what the brothers are doing, thereby removing any trace on what the boys are doing before Candace, their older sister can even show it to their mom which makes her very frustrated everytime. I hope you get the picture.

To be honest, even if it's funny, kiddie and all, I learned a very important lesson in life: TO ALWAYS DISCOVER AND DO SOMETHING NEW?

A lot of us get used to the status quo, to the current situation that we just choose to stay where we are. We are afraid to come out of our comfort zone and stress ourselves again. We ask why complicate things when everything's okay.

We can choose this life now and surely everything will be okay but at the same time everything will be just the same. Nothing new whatsoever. It had me thinking Mark Zuckerberg is just like Phineas and Ferb. If Mark just chose to stay with myspace and did not create a new thing, Facebook would have not existed.

Indeed there are potentials within us that are yet to be discovered. There are talents that are yet to be shown. We will never reach our highest potential if we don't try it out. We'll never reach our highest CANs if we're not willing to be strecthed out beyond the comfort zone.

When was the last time we did a first time? When was the last time we did something new?

There is a world waiting to be discovered and explored. Let's all think and give it a try and of course enjoy just like Phineas and Ferb.

Godbless!

"Angry Birds" is so IN!

After my agent showed me Angry Birds on her Iphone, I haven't stopped playing it ever since.

I play during Service Observes.

I play during sup calls!

I played on our way to Antipolo.

I played going back to Manila.

And now I'm just excited to come to work to play again.

Talk about addictive. : )

The Young Man Dies

These past few days, I have been struggling with growing and putting childish things behind me. What to do, Where to start, What to change and How do I do it?

All these questions were answered when I bumped on the Joshua Harris'es post about the song of David Wilcox entitled "Young Man Dies". And I was hit head-on or shall I say heart-on!

He could picture you a perfect sunrise
in the middle of your darkest night.
And he could take a sip from someday,
like he had a secret well.
He could listen to the voices calling
from a distant time will tell.

It's you in that picture where you're looking far away
like you hear a whisper of the things
you'll know someday.

But back then your heart was hungry
for something hard to find; you were
just holding out for someday,
but you've left that pain behind
'cause he walked you through those mountains,
for as long as he could bear.

He never reached the fountain,
but he could take you there.
The young man's dying
'cause in the years it takes to make one man wise,
the young man dies.

By David Wilcox from the album Underneath

There goes the answer! For me to successfully leave behind the childish person in me, the young man must die.

I Like Facebook

Facebook is really just an epitome of a fast-changing World. In this case, the World Wide Web. I mean never was a dull moment since the time I started my Facebook life.

I can still remember the very time I laid my eyes on Facebook, I was totally culture shocked. Wall? Shout-outs? News Feed? Those were all jargons. We call it "nosebleed". LoL!

After a while I got used to some of the features and is still starting to check the others when the season of games, Farmtown, Restaurant City, Typing Maniac came. I can still remember when somebody just left a "lost cow" in my wall and my friend was like asking me if I can adopt it. What??? What am I going to do with that cow? And other friends started to just send me invites asking me to plow their farms, check their restaurants, even fight me in Mafia Wars. It all again started to be overwhelming. Fortunately there was the magical "ignore button".

And the rest is history (that includes the so-called change in the privacy settings that honestly I didn't notice. LoL!).

Anyway the real reason I'm posting this is the new change FB added to their interface. We can now "like" even the comments of our shout-outs! I'm sure you've noticed it now.

Well aside from that I'd like to invite you to FOLLOW Your Daily Word to get updates from this blog right in your Facebook wall or if you want to get to know me personally add me as a FRIEND.

If there will be more changes coming, I will never be one of those who will quit. I am one of those who will explore and enjoy instead!

Happy Independence Day Philippines!

I am Proud to be Filipino!

Magkaisa by Virna Lisa

Happy Independence Day Philippines!

Panatang Makabayan | Happy Independence Day 2010

There is now a new version of the Panatang Makabayan but I prefer to post the old version as I think (even though it's longer), it's full of love and patriotism.

Panatang Makabayan ng Pilipinas: old (original) version

Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas.
Ito ang aking lupang sinilangan.
Ito ang tahanan ng aking lahi.
Ako’y kanyang kinukupkop at tinutulungan,
Upang maging malakas, maligaya at kapakipakinabang.

I just came from the Asia Conference and one of the great things I've learned was the teaching of A.R. Bernard about us created in the likeness of God and that we truly are the Image of God. And because of that we become Better Christians, Better People, Better Citizens. In my case, Better Filipinos.

It's almost our Independence Day and I want to take this chance to refresh all of us with our Philippine Patriotic Oath (Panatang Makabayan). Even though there had been several changes with it (e.g. newer version and it being no longer required after the singing of the National Anthem), I think though that we as Citizens of Heavn (being children of God) we ought to be blessings to our Country as well while we're still here on Earth.

Let's all take this time to remember to pray for our nation. With the new president, let us pray that our nation will soon see More Job Opportunities, Improvement in the Economy, Lesser Corruption, Fair Judicial System, Healthy Government, and Happy People. Let us pray that God will remember, heal and bless our nation!

Let the change start from us.

I'm going to the Asia Conference 2010

Asia Conference 2010
I'm so excited for everything that God will do through this conference. I know He has a purpose in store for me there and I am confident that He will fulfill it no matter what!
There maybe few complications now but I'm sure no one and nothing can hinder God's plans from happening!

Thinking about going?

Whoever Wins, I'm Behind Him in Prayer

To be honest I voted for Eddie Villanueva because I think that with the Fear of the Lord, he surely can bring this nation to the change it has been longing to achieve for a long time. But God's Plan is beyond and above my decisions and choices no matter how biblical and logical they may be. Here's my declaration: "I know God is up to something good for this nation. He knows what he's doing."

Right now with votes starting to pile up and returns starting to be counted, we start to see a clearer picture on who will lead this country in the next 6 years. It maybe Eddie Villanueva (honestly a part of me is still hoping even though impossible) or Noynoy who's currently leading or even Erap (even if I really hope not), I will still be behind him in PRAYER!

Romans 13:1-2 (New King James Version)

Submit to Government

1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

What can we learn from this?

1. Our government are appointed by GOD himself! The next President has been pre-planned by God himself. And talking about His plan, it will always be GOOD. Yes, even if they allegedly cheated. It doesn't change the fact that ALL these are within God's plan. It's the devil's works, you would say but remember even if the evil would mean it for bad, God can tweak it for Good according to his sovereignty.

2. We are to be subject to our government. Our duty is to support and pray. No, I'm not saying we don't stand up for the wrong things our government might do. My point is as the new President starts his term, we're at his back as one nation pushing him, supporting him towards our development.

3. How easy is it to say bad things about our government. I too am guilty of it especially to the GMA administration. I won't start reasoning why I did it because it can be reasonable. But back to the Bible, if we resist our government we only don't bring judgment on them but to ourselves as well. Which really just makes sense! if we continue to curse our government and be hopeless for them then it's like we're really just talking to ourselves and cursing our very selves.

As this Election ends, let's put this to heart: We may have different colors before the Election, we must be united though after it. Supporting the one who's been chosen not by people but by God himself.

Whoever Wins, I'm Behind Him in Prayer. I hope you too!

Passion World Tour: Passion Manila on May 25th

Why the World

Passion believes in university students and in the "university moment," that window of life where many young people forge their identity and set the trajectory of their lives. And we believe these students are uniquely poised to shape the future and help achieve a more hopeful outcome for humanity.

As well, we believe in cities, massive urban centers that not only provide the best opportunity for the Gospel to impact culture, but house the greatest concentration of university students on the planet. For many, the great global cities are only about commerce, industry, political might, fashion, history and design. Yet, the leading urban centers of the world are also "university towns," places like NYC, Los Angeles, London, and Manila, cities where more than one million university students call home.

Thus, in 2010 Passion will be returning to seven cities, hosting gatherings for university-aged young people in Kyiv, London, São Paulo, Vancouver, Manila, Tokyo and Hong Kong. While we would love to revisit all seventeen cities from 2008, we are excited to be back with friends in these seven nations, inspiring students to love Jesus and to live to make Him famous in this generation.

There's no doubt our message is loudest when Believers are united, and best received when our words turn into action to touch the world in Jesus' name. So join us in the city nearest you and, in the mean time, help spread the word.

The wave is growing into a global awakening. Join the movement for His renown.

Happy Mother's Day Mama and Glaiza

Some call her Mom or Mommy. Here in the Philippines, we call her Mama or Nanay or Inay. Some call them by their first name. (really!)

Whatever we call them, they're still our MOTHERS! And tomorrow is their Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the hardworking, the loving, the beautiful, the thinking, the caring, the disciplinarian, the compassionate Mothers in the whole world!

I've written several posts in the past about my Mother and how I am grateful and thankful to God for having a mother like her. Check out: Thank You Lord for the Gift of Mothers and Mary: a Blessed Mother Happy Mother's Day.

Today I thought of just listing some great Mother's Day quotes as I'm sure I'd say the same thing. But then I realized "Is Mother's day really just a tradition that we do for the sake of it?". Isn't Mother's day a day in a year to honor the Mothers for all their hardwork and sacrifices? Are two blog posts really just enough?

Today I choose to be true and real rather than conventional!

Mom,

Thank you! I can't thank you enough, as in! It's so true, you were and still are instrumental to whoever I am today. Do you remember the very first time I tried to ride on an elevator? Even though we'd looked like fools yet you still went up and down with me (1st floor then to 3rd then to 2nd then to 5th then finally to 4th) pretending you didn't know where to go. Just for me to really experience the first time ride: I greatly appreciate it!

Now that I've started experiencing things on my own, I want you to be with me the whole time! First was Hongkong, now Singapore, we never know where the next destination will be. Let's just wait and see. My only prayer as you celebrate this day is that you never forget that we your children will always be here for you. No matter what! We love you. We respect you. We honor you. "Bahala'g matigulang na ka. Promise!"

I send my greetings as well to my very beautiful younger sister Glaiza who is the mother of my beautiful niece, Yafit!

Glai,

You are an amazing woman! I know you've went through a lot and things somewhat didn't turn out as planned. But please know this, there's no accident before the Lord. Everything is according to God's plan. He knows what He's doing. Just trust him. I'm sure He's up to something good. I'm proud of you, Glai. Proud to the max! I wish you strength and courage to go on. You can DO it! Just continue to be Happy, Healthy and Honest with me and the family. I'm your Kuya and I will be here for you always. Yes, always. I will do my best and give my best to try to make you happy always. If there's any problem, tell me. I'll protect you with my life and with my everything. I love you more than you can imagine.

Happy Mother's Day to you Both! Much LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Your Daily Word's Page Rank is now 4/10

I AM SO HAPPY!

It has been quite a while that this blog stayed at PageRank 3 and I got used to that. I am not even expecting any increase anymore as I have been somewhat "inactive" these past few months. But when I saw a blogger friend blogging about a PR increase for her blog, I immediately checked my PageRank as well.

And Woollaah!

Praise the Lord! PageRank maybe is not as important as visitors but it's one way for King Google to bring visitors to this site and it also shows that Google trusts this site.

Thanks Google! Thank God above all who remains and who will always be the reason why this blog exists.

Have you checked yours?

Thank You Lord for the Gift of Mothers

I've been trying to write some "Thank You's" lately starting with the last one where I thanked the Lord for the Gift of Frienship. This time I want to take this opportunity to thank and recognize the number 1 woman in my life. The most beautiful and loving woman my eyes have ever seen. The woman who stood for me, fought for me, cared for me, loved me, disciplined me and guided me through since the first time my heart started to beat inside of her. Yes, that woman is my mother! Who else can it be?

I'm not sure how my life would have turned out without my mother beside me the whole time.
She wakes me up (throws water on my face if i don't), to go to school.
She forces me to eat every leafy kind of vegetable she knows.
She pinches me really hard that tears my shirt up to discipline me and teach me a lesson.
She nags at me every time I don't buy my spray and why I still don't have a house.
And because of all these, I love her so much.
