The Happiness of Those who Trust in God

I was reading this Psalm during our Prayer for Sanctification before Sunday Service and I was greatly moved that I started crying in praising the Lord. I was especially blessed when it said,

"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing."

I really hope that this Psalm will bless you in many more ways than one. I prefer not to say anything more but I ask you to ask God to teach you what He wants you to learn through this.

Psalm 34 (King James Version)
1I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

11Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

God bless you more!

A True Christian Perspective on Miss California Carrie Prejean

I'm sure we all have heard of her. It was her who refused to give up her godly convictions on same-sex marriage just to win the contest. It was her also who publicly and proudly claimed herself to be a Christian. But it was also her on those Magazine Pictures.

At first, the whole Christian "world" embraced her and accepted her as a role model and a one Christian everyone should follow. Right after she fell (with those pics out, everybody started to scorn and discriminate her even the ones from the Christian "world". Sadly, our nature is really a blaming nature. Remember what happened during the Fall of Adam and Eve?

With all the sites I have read and visited, one site had moved me and made me stop. I said to myself: Finally! Somebody spilled the beans!

It's a post from The Joyful Christian Wife, one of my favorite blogs that I follow and subscribe to. Please read her post about this topic: Finding Mercy in the "WHY" and be enlightened.

God Bless you!

We are a New Creation in Christ

First of all, I would like to apologize for not having been able to post daily as I usually did and should have done as one of my commitments when I started this site. There were just a lot of things going on in my life these past few days. I have been moved to a new schedule, new management and a new team to handle in the office I am working. A lot of things to do to adjust and keep up. But as they say, change is good. Change is for the better.

I can remember what Paul wrote to the Corinthians:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor. 5:17

This is the main and basic reason why we are called born again! We are not just restructured and repaired. No! We are starting all over again. God is removing the old one and putting in place a new one! It would seem we are being created again.

With that in mind, CHANGE will always be present in our lives. Change is something we should welcome! This change can vary from simple as change of habits and change of words to as complicated as changing your friends, lifestyle and even work! Yes I know people resigning from work because they already understood they're not glorifying God with it. Change sometimes really takes sacrifice and letting go.

That makes me realize, a Christian must wonder if he's still not seeing "changes" in his life because there MUST be. If we're not experiencing it yet, we need to seek more and open more doors for God to come in and work. Try asking yourself, what has changed in my life? How different are you right now compared to before?

God bless you today!

Don't Be Anxious | My Life is In Your Hands by Kathy Troccoli

Philippians 4:6(NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

This is one song (My Life is In Your Hands) that had surely blessed me when I started my journey with the Lord. It had been instrumental to my growth as a young Christian. I hope you too will be blessed by it. I included the lyrics as well.

My Life is In Your Hands by Kathy Troccoli
Life can be so good
Life can be so hard
Never knowing what each day
Will bring to where you are
Sometimes I forget
And sometimes I can't see
That whatever comes my way
You'll be with me

My life is in your hands
My heart is in your keeping
I'm never without love
Not when my future is with you

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands

Nothing is for sure
Nothing is for keeps
All I know is that your love
Will live eternally
So I will find my way, yes
And I will find my peace
Knowing that you'll meet my every need

My life is in your hands
My heart is in your keeping
I'm never without love
Not when my future is with you

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands

When I'm at my weakest love
You carry me
Then I become my strongest love
In your hands

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands
I trust you Lord
My life is in your hands

Why did Jesus Come?

Here's a verse that is so close to my heart. If the devil came to steal, kill and destroy, our Lord Jesus came to do this:

"My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."
John 10:10b (New Living Translation)

Indeed, Jesus came to give us just that! But people ask why are bad things still happen? Why are we still suffering? Why are we not rich and successful yet? I may not be able to give you specific answers to these questions but surely I can give you THE key. THE Key, the way, the truth and the life is Jesus Christ.

Let me share to you a story about a Father and a son to further explain this point.

TAKE MY SON

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'

But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'

Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!'

But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting..' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

'We have $10, who will bid $20?'

'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'

The crowd was becoming angry.. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'

A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'

'What about the paintings?'

'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!'

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE

Christian Guy's Random Thoughts

This blog as you all know is dedicated in becoming a devotional site where you will be blessed, encouraged, rebuked and even corrected through the Word of God and the power of Jesus Christ. And I really hope that it is serving it's purpose. I am praying, really. Do you pray for your blogs or sites if you have one? You should! It's after all God's blessing to you and God's way for you to bless and glorify His name in anything you do.

I have read this post from one of my favorite bloggers: 3 Tips for Not Sucking at Christian Blogging. Go over there after reading this. ChurchCrunch is one great blog for you to subscribe and follow. I really highly recommend.

Anyway, the post said this:

"Blog about stuff that isn’t obviously Christian. You must have other interests other than your faith 24/7, right? Being super-spiritual on your blog doesn’t prove anything to me and certainly not to the unbeliever."

And I think I agree. That's the reason I posted something about American Idol. And I was about to go that way but God reminded me on the purpose why this site existed. It is to be a site where you, my readers and subscribers can be blessed by the Word of God. Verses and Reflections that you can use for everyday life. I don't want to interfere what God is doing here with my own "interests". True, I really pray for each post here that the readers be blessed by each word of it.

With that, I had been directed to creating a blog where I can just say what I want to say. Not necessarily always about Spiritual things but don't take me wrong it will always have Christian and Godly principles. I started a new blog: Christian Guy's Random Thoughts. In here, you'll get to know me personally and no longer just a preacher of the Word or a blogger of the Word at that.

At the end of the day, Your Daily Word remains to be your daily devotional. But if you want to know me personally and the ins and outs of my Christian life, go and drop my personal blog.

That's it for today! God Bless you more!

Kris Allen will be the next American Idol | All for God's Glory

When everybody is waiting and excited to know who's gonna be the next American Idol, I have a personal bet: I hope that Kris Allen wins the contest.

You might be surprised why I'm writing about this, just read on...

The world is full of praises and worship to our God. The trees, the rain, the mountains, the skyscrapers and a lot more give praise to the Lord. Indeed God can use any of these things to bring glory to His name. Tonight we'll again witness one most-watched reality TV contest do their Grand Finals to choose who the next American Idol is. I believe that even here, even in this contest, my prayer is God to be glorified.

I was browsing through the profile of the contestants and Kris Allen got my attention. Here's an excerpt from About.com:

"Kris Allen is a worship leader at New Life Church in Maumelle, Arkansas. He has been involved in missionary work around the world including Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain, and Thailand. Much of his musical background is connected with his church experiences." Read the rest of it here.

Isn't it amazing? God is raising up worship leaders to conquer the world's music industry to bring glory to His name. Don't take me wrong, Adam can still win. It's still a "singing" contest after all and not "Who's the Christian among you?". I don't care who wins now but what I am so happy about is for Kris gaining popularity and hopefully using it to bring glory to the Lord's name. I can remember the songs of Carrie Underwood: Jesus, Take the Wheel and Jordin Sparks: God Loves Ugly that are used by God to spread His Word. These artists may not be branded as "christian singers" but they're singing songs with Christian message and that's what's important.

Let's all pray that God will continue to raise up talented Christians who will spread HIS glory throughout the Earth in their own "talented" way.

How about you? How can God use your talent to spread His word? How can God use your life to open up doors for Him to move?

Fix your eyes on Jesus

Take a look at the picture? What do you see?

Some see an old woman while others would see a young woman. I can now see the two of them but at first I only saw the young woman. This is normal. It doesn’t mean you need to be very intelligent for you to see the two of them. There are just differences on how we see things. Different perspective or maybe sometimes we choose (yes!) not to see other things.

In our lives, sometimes we choose to close our eyes on a lot of things that God wants us to see. He wants us to see the hungry and the sick around us and to call us to pray. He wants us to see the lost and for us to start “going” and making disciples. He wants us to see what’s happening around us for us to stand in the truth and for us to stand up to defend it. He wants us to see how glorious and how almighty He is that there’s no reason for us to lose hope and fail to trust.

Instead of doing this we oftentimes choose to open our eyes to things that are not of God’s will. We sometimes open our eyes to the new culture this world is showing us (e.g. Abortion, Sex, Drugs, and a lot more that the world is making us believe “NORMAL”). We also open our eyes to prostitution, homosexuality and pornography and even to doing illegal things or stepping on other people or using other people to succeed.

God wants us to see things through his own eyes for us to start seeing the lost sheep that need to be rescued ASAP. God wants us to see His power to solve our problems. God wants us to open our eyes to His WILL and for us to fix our eyes on Him alone.

Just like Job, let’s put a covenant with our eyes not to see things lustfully for our eyes (Job 31:1) not to look at things that aren’t beneficial to us and for them to be fixed permanently to God.(Heb. 12:1-2)

They say our eyes are the window to our souls. If your friends, family or just anybody would look at your eyes, what do you think they would see? If you yourself look at your own eyes, what do you think you would see? What if GOD looks at you, will he be pleased with what He will see?

Take Heart, you're UP for something Great

2 Corinthians 4:17 (King James Version)
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory"

An arrow can be shot only by pulling it back. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means you will be launched for something great!

so Take Heart!

Restore to me the Joy of my Salvation

Psalm 51:12 (NIV)

"Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."

Reflection:

There are times that we get discouraged and disappointed. When a lot of problems start to pile up. When pressures from our work even from the ministry start to push us to the limits, we sometimes break down. I believe Christian life is the most joyful life anyone can have but in reality due to the fact that we are still in this fallen world, we can get disheartened at times. When we sin, we even feel guilty and feel so far off from God (this is even though God accepts us no matter what we've done or who we are).

These feelings are true and we need to accept it and face it. Because these feelings, if left unnoticed can overcome us and leave us helpless and tired to continue running the race. Let us pray with David for God to restore the joy of our Salvation.

This free gift we received is the greatest gift one can ever have. God our source of joy can easily pick us up and comfort us in times of our troubles and feel us with joy. Indeed, the joy of the Lord is our strength in every and any circumstance. Let's run to him the moment we experience any of this feeling.

God Bless you so much today!

To Obey is Better than Sacrifice

1 Samuel 15:22 (New International Version)

But Samuel replied:
"Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD ?
To obey is better than sacrifice,
and to heed is better than the fat of rams."

Reflection:

A lot of us can be busy building the kingdom but have forgotten the King. We can actually be doing "good" but not actually obeying God.

This is a little tricky because after all, God wants us to do good, to be a blessing and to be at work in the ministry. And yes, that's true! Don't take me wrong, God is glorified with all your labor of love for him. (1 Cor. 15:58) Saul was also doing everything that's good. In 1 Sam 15:20-21, Saul said "But I did obey the LORD," "I went on the mission the LORD assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king. The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the LORD your God at Gilgal." But he was rebuked by Samuel saying "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD ?"(1 Sam. 15:22)
Saul was doing what he thinks is good. Saul rationalized that even though God commanded to destory everything, the plunder they brought would still be acceptable as it will still be offered to God. He failed to obey what exactly God wants him to do. This failure led him to be rejected as King.

In the same way, we can be very busy at ministering, helping the sick, donating to charities and doing "good" based on our understanding but not actually obeying God's will for our lives.

Let's seek God's will in our lives during our time alone with Him and assuredly He'll direct you to what He wants to do in a clear manner and know that His will is good, perfect and pleasing for you.(Romans 12:2) And If you seek him, you will find him(Jer. 29:13)

God Bless you!

TAWG: Time Alone With God

Mark 1:35 (NIV)

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Reflection:

Our God is a personal God. He wants to relate to us in a personal way. It's no wonder it's called a "love" relationship between man and his God.

Sometimes, we can get caught up with a lot of ministry work and good deeds. Sometimes, we may be very busy in handling small groups left and right, attending fellowships here and there and even preaching the Word of God to the lost but we forget the most special thing to God's heart. It's the time alone with God. God is calling out just to talk to us. (Gen. 3:8-9)

When was the last time you spent quality time with God? When was the last time you just poured out everything in your heart to Him? Or is your time with God during your prayer before meals? Or maybe while you're lying on your bed trying to pray, trying to concentrate and struggling not to sleep.

Jesus, as God as he is went off to a solitary place early in the morning to pray(Mark 1:35) and I believe he wants us, his followers to do the same.

Please note the word: solitary. Our time alone with God should be, if possible done in a solitary place where there'll be no distractions and any disturbance. Just you and your God. This is the time where you'll tell him things just you and He knows. This is the time when you'll just lay down every struggle, every defeat and hurts to him. This is also the time that you praise and thank Him for everything He had been doing and will do in your life. There are times that we desire something in our hearts that we want to keep just to ourselves. This is is the best time for you to just present all your requests and petitions to God. On the other hand, this is also his time to talk to you and reveal to you His wonderful things and perfect will for your life. You're struggling with a major decision right now? Spend time alone with God and he'll surely answer you. Need some advices on problems? Talk to him and he'll answer you.

As a whole, your time alone with God is your date with Him. A date to just have fun, be strengthened and to make your relationship sweeter. Just like a flower, it's your TAWG that waters your relationship with God for it to bloom.

Now, set a time for your "Time Alone with God" and set this time aside just for Him. He's waiting for you.

Open Rebuke is Better than Hidden love

Proverbs 27:5 (NIV) Open rebuke is better than hidden love.

Reflection:

There are two scenarios here. The first one corrects you to bring you back to what's right because he loves you. The second one doesn't correct you because he thinks he might hurt you but the effect is you won't learn what's right. If you look at it long term, I'd choose the first one but you know what that's easier said than done.

Have you been corrected lately? Have you been rebuked before? Maybe because of something you did or maybe because of something you failed to do. As mature as we think we are, we always say it's better to receive feedback now than continue in doing what's wrong but again it's easier said than done.
When somebody rebukes us, it hurts us! We'd start to struggle. We'd love to just easily accept the feedback and try to change our lives for the better. Sadly, most of the time our automatic response is to reason out and defend ourselves (in our minds). We'd even start to fight back by looking for defects from the other person reasoning to ourselves that before he even judges, he should look at himself first.

Rebukes are good. Rebukes from your brothers and sisters in Christ are for the better. They are your keepers, remember? No one's righteous. No not one. (Romans 3:9) There will always be rough edges to clean and wrong attitudes to correct. Even the person who's giving the rebuke, he too is imperfect. But that's not the issue. The main issue is YOU. How do you respond to these feedback and rebuke? They may be done with right motives (to build you up) or with wrong intentions (to just discriminate and discourage you), it doesn't matter. What matters is your response. Respond to learn from these rebukes. Respond for the better. Respond not to retaliate but respond to succumb. It hurts but fight it. If you don't have anything good to say, just zip it. At the end of the day, all these feedback are for the better only if you learn how to take and accept them.

Indeed, I'd say open rebuke is better because that way you'll learn what needs to be changed in your life. Without it, we'd think we're already doing good but actually not yet. Most of the time these are really done because of love especially if it has been given by a Family member in Christ. For you, this is also a great way of showing love to your friends. Just make sure to do it in a loving and caring way.

Be A good Example | Be humble as He is humble

Mary: a Blessed Mother | Happy Mother's Day

Luke 2:35 (New International Version)

"...And a sword will pierce your own soul too."

Reflection:

The statement above was told to Mary, the mother of Jesus by Simeon after blessing Jesus in the temple. Read the full account in Luke 2:21-40.

Right here Simeon prophesied that even though you marvel right now of the thought that Jesus will someday be the savior of the world(Luke 2:33), a sword will at the same time pierce your own soul. After hearing this, Mary didn't say a word.

From the start up to this point, Mary just closed her mouth as a sign of her full submission and faith in God's will.

Even up to the point when Jesus was sentenced to death. She remained silent. When everyone was mocking her son, she remained silent. When rulers sneered at Jesus saying, "He saved others, let him save himself", she remained silent. When he was offered vinegar to drink, she didn't say a word. When Jesus, her son was catching his breath on the cross. She sitting near the cross, didn't say a word.

Surely, all these have pierced the mother's heart of Mary but she remained silent.

Why? Because she allowed God to do what God wanted to DO. Her son was not ordinary. His son is God and his son came to die for the world. She knew this even from the start. So even though it hurts her so much as a mother, she chose to forego of her own will and chose to lift up God's will.

How many times did we give up because we're already starting to feel pain? How many times have we given up on God when we started to struggle? How many times did we choose to do our will assuming God will just understand?

May we all be like Mary. May we all be like her in each and every circumstance, crossroad and decision in our lives. May we just be silent and allow God to do his will in our lives. May we just forget what we feel for once and allow God to just do his purposes IN us, through US and FOR us.

It's almost Mother's Day and I'd like to take this opportunity to Praise God and recognize my beloved mother, Marilyn Panuncialman. Hope you will too!

Faith without Works is Dead

James 2:26 (New King James Version)
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Reflection:
Do you believe in God? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe in the Bible? Even the demons believe and tremble. (James 2:19)

What differs us then from the devil as far as our "belief" is concern? James has the answer: WORKS as proof of our faith.

We say "I trust in you, Lord" but we worry when problems come. We proclaim we're Christians to our workmates and families but we join them in their drinking sessions and gossip meetings. We declare we're victorious in Christ but we act as losers in times of crisis. We shout "I can do all things through Christ" but we lack confidence when we're given responsiblities.

God is telling us today to LIVE according to what we believe in, to ACT as a believer and to REACT to situations and problems as one!

I was blessed with the song
Luv is A Verb by DC Talk. The whole message of the song is that LOVE is not mere word but an action word and that it's something that you actually do. Just like faith, FAITH is a Verb. A word that you act on and do!

How have you been showing your faith?

Many Believed because of One Testimony

John 4:39 (NIV)

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”

Reflection:

This is a follow-up post to Make Known what God has Done Testify for the Lord. On that post, I encouraged everyone to testify in the comments field and so far 8 people had now made a difference and made known to the world wide web how God had been good to them. Praise the Lord! You can still leave your testimony, just click here.

Today, we'll learn how a testimony of a woman made a lot of people believed in Jesus Christ.

In the preceding verses (John 4:1-26), the woman had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. In that encounter the woman realized and believed that Jesus is the promised Messiah they've all been waiting for. This encounter was then used by God to invite all other Samaritans to believe in Jesus Christ!

Just like this woman, each of us had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. It can be an answered prayer or getting healed from a sickness or being rescued from danger or being victorious over addiction or a struggle. These encounters can vary from one person to another but I'm sure they're all amazing and great! Wouldn't you agree?

What made the people believed?
The woman testified! (John 4:29) Even how amazing your experiences are with God, if you don't share it, only you will be blessed by it. If you don't testify then no one else will hear it and no one else will believe. If we're wondering why our friends and family haven't believed in the Lord Jesus Christ yet, maybe we haven't testified about how God had been good to our lives.

Just say it! Just testify and God will do the rest!

This is the Day that the Lord has made | It's all about Choices

Psalm 118:24 (New International Version)
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Reflection:

A lot of people would reason out "I just woke up in the wrong side of the bed" when they're experiencing complications and problems during the day. But do you really think it depends on how you slept last night or how you woke up a while ago? I don't think so.

God creates everyday of our lives. He causes the Sun to rise and he knows when it sets. Just like David, we must choose to rejoice and be glad in it! The word is choose.
Yes! IT IS A CHOICE you make daily.
It doesn't depend if you woke up late or you woke up too early or you woke up in the wrong side of the bed, it depends on how you would choose to accept the Day God had created for you! You can choose to be angry and irritated with your breakfats or you can choose to be happy that you're alive and you have your family beside you. You can choose to be annoyed and mad with how your outfit looks like or be blissful and joyful for another chance to live and reach for your dreams. It doesn't matter how it will turn out later during your day, you have already set the trend with your choice and assuredly, it will remain that way.

So how will you live your day today?

Make Known what God has Done | Testify for the Lord

1 Chronicles 16:8 (New International Version)

Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

Reflection:

Testimonies are very important! In a court trial when somebody stands as a witness, the testimony is almost irrevocable except if another witness goes against the testimony or when the witness takes back his Word.

I believed in the Lord Jesus Christ through the testimony of others. My faith grew and became stronger also because of the testimony of others. The testimony of a Christian is God's love letter to everyone who hears it. It is one if not "the" way of spreading the GOOD NEWS of God.

If you read the Book of Acts, we see Paul, Peter and all other apostles telling and sharing their testimonies before going on in sharing what Jesus Christ has done. Indeed testimonies make the people relate to the gospel. Testimonies reinforce the gospel. Testimonies highlight the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ!

God said when you receive good things from me or when some good thing happened in your life, GIVE THANKS! But God didn't end up there, he continued saying, "MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS WHAT I HAVE DONE!". A lot us remember to thank GOD but a lot of us keep it to ourselves.

Today, I encourage you to leave your testimonies in the comments field.
Make known to the world wide web what He had done in your life! Through these testimonies, God is glorified and you can bless your brothers and sisters as well!

Be a Worker for The LORD

Published by: Your Daily Word

Be a worker for the Harvest | Be a worker for the Lord

Matthew 9:36-38 (NIV)
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Reflection:

When Jesus ascended to heaven, he left us with a commission to go to the world and make disciples. He didn’t leave it neither only to the disciples nor only to the 500 people who witnessed his ascension. No, Jesus said it to all of us, his believers. This is not just a job of the pastors, ministers and church workers but a job for each one of us. We signed up for it when we accepted Jesus Christ in our hearts.

Sadly, only few have really taken this commission by heart. Only few have really gone to the world and only few have really obeyed. There are a lot of idle workers out there. Workers who chose to keep the treasure they received for free.

You do not need to be missionaries who go to other countries to preach. Because only some people have been called to do that but you can be workers of the Lord even in your own homes, schools and workplaces. You just need to live a life that’s a blessing to others and light for others to follow.

Think about your neighbor, your friends, your family, your workmates, your bosses, your subordinates, they are your harvest field. They are your assignment.
If we don’t stand up and work and harvest them, who will?

Let us pray to the Lord of Harvest to send more Workers to the field. Let us also pray that we be the answers to this prayer.

Today, is Labor’s Day here in the Philippines. And Instead of the usual rallies for salary increase and etc., let me take this opportunity to recognize all our missionaries and workers who are out there in the field laboring, preaching the Word, sharing the Love of God and even suffering for Christ wherever they are. Let this day be a day of reminder to each one of us to pray for them. Let us pray for provision, for perseverance, for strength, for encouragement and for comfort from our Lord Jesus Christ. May they continue to make a difference in other people's lioves. God bless them more!
God bless you too!
